PRACTICE CANCELLED FOR THURSDAY, 9/18
8TH GRADE CHEERLEADING PRACTICE CANCELLED FOR TODAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH
8th grade cheerleading practice has been cancelled for today after school.  Girls should wear their cheerleading uniforms and leggings to school tomorrow for the pep assembly.  Those girls who were volunteering with coach after practice, that has been cancelled as well.
Spirit Week
SPIRIT WEEK:  As part of the homecoming spirit week fun, we will be adding a bit of friendly competition between the grade levels, as they strive to “fill up” the spirit jug.  Each morning next week, Mr. Turnbow will send out an email requesting that TEACHERS count the number of students in their homeroom that have participated by “dressing up” for the spirit week themes.  HERE are the Days:  Monday - College Spirit Day, Tuesday – Twin Day, Wednesday – East MS – Bobcat Spirit Day, Thursday – Mix & Match Day, Friday – Red (8th), Black (7th), and White (6th) Day.  We’ll remind you but MONDAY is COLLEGE SPIRIT DAY.
Box Tops for Education
Submit your box tops by Friday, October 24 for a chance to win a gift card to the Trillium!  Each box top is worth 10 cents toward our “Box Top for Education” fundraiser.  Simply trim the box tops, making sure the expiration date is legible.  Place them in an envelope or sandwich bag clearly labeled with your student’s name.  Put them in the collection box in the Main Office to receive credit.
Breakfast available every day!
Attention all students: We encourage all of you to eat a nutritious breakfast, which will prepare you for your school day. Research shows that students who eat breakfast improve academic achievement, score better on tests, have fewer health issues, and behave better in class.

ALL students are eligible to participate in our breakfast program - it doesn't matter if you walk, take a bus or come by car - everyone can eat breakfast at school. If you receive a free or reduced price lunch, you may receive a free or reduced price breakfast as well. There is no additional paperwork required.

Breakfast is a bargain at $1.50. Reduced price breakfast is $ 0.30. Free priced students receive a free breakfast. EAT BREAKFAST TODAY!!
